Butterflies

Here's a sneak preview of some of the butterflies we made at the last hands - on. We're trying to decide how to finish them off. Possible ideas are cushion covers, book covers and quilts. If you have had a chance to complete yours bring it next Tuesday and share it with us.

If you have any surplus craft items we can sell for funds please bring them to meetings. If they are unsold please take them home as there is nowhere we can store them at the library. Thanks.

Fame at last !

Open morning at the library today.

Sheila and Margaret went along to the library today to represent Alsager Creative Stitchers. They were thrilled at the interest there was in the work and they even signed up a new member. Onwards and upwards !!!!!

Margaret's threads

               We were just a little bit envious of Margaret's selection of threads on Tuesday.

Quilt and Stitch Show

We are hoping to go to this show in Uttoxeter. We can book tickets for £5 per person. At the next meeting we need to know which date you would prefer. We think car sharing will work for this trip. We already have some volunteer drivers.
We would love to see your work on display at our monthly meetings ( only if you want to). We could look at the work during our tea break.
 We will be starting a sales table to raise funds for the group so please bring in unwanted craft items for us to sell.

We're up and running !

Today was our first meeting of the new year. Sheila and Margaret prepared a great hands - on meeting. The technique was Kantha stitching. Basically we were using straight stitches to form a design. We are following a butterfly theme so it will be interesting to see the end results.
