'Quarto' Art Exhibition
As part of the regular sessions of exhibitions in the upstairs Studio, there is a new exhibition of four local artists - Quarto.  Starting on Sat 17th March it runs until 7th April. It will feature Penny Beautiman a printmaker, Vicky Christmasa painter, Ann Roach watercolour and mixed media, and Jacqueline Saxton mixed media, pastels and drawing.  Not to be missed.

Coffee mornings and workshops

As the recent coffee morning and workshop proved to be successful we have decided to continue with them. Here are some dates for your diary.

They will all be held at the Two Doors Studio,Alsager.

Tuesday 20 th March 2018.      10-30am - 12-30 pm.     Coffee Morning 

Tuesday 17th April 2018.          10-00 am - 4-00 pm.      Group's workshop

Tuesday 15 th May 2018.           10-30 am - 12-30 pm.    Coffee Morning 

Tuesday 19th June 2018.            9-30 am - 4-30 pm         Suzette Smart Workshop ( repeat of last 

workshop for people who couldn't go on the workshop last time. Numbers limited to 8 people.)

Claire Muir

We had a really interesting afternoon today. Claire Muir gave us a very entertaining talk about fascinators and hat making.

Judith had everyone in stitches when she gave the vote of thanks wearing her own fascinator.

Just as a reminder-

Day trip to the NEC

We are organising a trip to the NEC in Birmingham in March.

At our January meeting  we asked if there was enough interest to run a coach trip to the NEC, Birmingham on Thursday 15th March 2018 for the Sewing for pleasure / Fashion and Embroidery / Creative crafts show.

As there was plenty of interest we have arranged Hollinshead coaches to pick up at 9am at Asda car park, Alsager and we will leave the show by 4.30pm. The cost will be £25 which includes a discounted ticket provided we buy the tickets early.

At our Feb meeting we will need to take names and £10 deposit and the balance of £15 will be due at our March meeting. Tickets will be handed out on the coach.

We have asked for Darren, the friendly driver who took us to Empress Mills and it should be a fun day out with some thing to interest everyone.
