The next meeting on Tuesday 6th October will be a talk by Rachel Davies entitled “Textiles Tell Stories”. Rachel’s career in Fashion and Textiles began with studying for a degree in the subject at Loughborough University where she specialised in Embroidery. She spent some years working in the textile industry before retraining to become a lecturer in Art and Design, focusing mainly on textile design. She left teaching in 2021 to pursue a career as a self employed artist. She also upcycles garments and teaches stitch and textile workshops.
