Butterflies are fluttering.

Here's a great collection of butterflies beautifully crafted by members of the group.

There's a variety of techniques used.

They were made by Brenda, Bernice, Mary and Margaret Horton ( to avoid confusion with the other Margarets ! )

Bring along your butterflies to the next meeting so we can admire them.

Yarndale

Yesterday we were chatting to a lady at the Civic Centre. She told us about a fabric shop in Crewe called Cheshire Fabrics cheshirefabrics.co.uk

Claire who runs the shop has organised a coach trip to Yarndale yarndale.co.uk in September. It is a celebration of all things woolly !!

If you are interested in this trip contact Claire at Cheshire Fabrics 01270 583 772

They are hoping the coach will cost no more than £10 return.

Today's meeting

We all enjoyed a really interesting talk by Kate Cawley. Little did we know what she had in store for us. She told us stories of belonging to the WI and her many attempts of entering craft competitions in a bid to be awarded the elusive 20 out of 20 mark for her efforts. Many times she was awarded excellent marks but never quite made the 20 mark. Her story was all about the journey over the years and the very amusing things that happened along the way.

We didn't expect to be crying with laughter but Kate you were a real tonic. Thanks for being so entertaining.
