December Meeting

Today was our last meeting before Christmas. The weather was not kind to us today it was very stormy and fewer members came to the meeting. However, it was a very enjoyable meeting.

We exchanged homemade Christmas cards. We had a Show and Tell that was very surprising ! The work was so different and interesting this time. We had a monster outfit made by Jill and her Granddaughter. We had 3D vegetables made by Lyn Rochester. There was delicate black work by Judith Coyne . There were other lovely pieces of work also entries in the travelling books were really beautiful. We truly have some very talented members .

We enjoyed a festive tea with lots of goodies.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

It will be a relaxed get together. We are going to have a chance to look at the travelling books . They should be really interesting as quite a number of members have worked hard on them during the times we couldn’t meet up. So please bring your book or books along to the meeting. Also, we are having a show and tell. This is an opportunity to share ideas. If you have any stitching project you would like to show the group bring it along please.

If you have finished your Christmas bunting we started with Gail bring it along for us all to see.

The last part of the afternoon is our usual Christmas tea. We will be providing cups of tea or coffee but not the food. Please bring along a small plate of sweet or savoury food to share with everyone. After the meeting please take home any leftovers.

We like to exchange homemade Christmas cards at the meeting . If you wish make a card and at the meeting take a card another member has made. Cards may be sewn or made from paper collage etc . Use your chosen medium. They will all be lovely as some thought will have gone into them.

Recently we have had some new members. We are always delighted to welcome new members with fresh ideas to keep the group moving forward.
