April Meeting - Stevie Walker

In April we are fortunate to be welcoming Stevie Walker to give a talk to the group.


Stevie Walker - textile artist, craftsperson and tutor.

She  loves printing , machine embroidery, stitch, felt and experimenting with all kinds of painting and drawing media.

Her textile pieces are individually designed and made in her studio in the Shropshire hills, England. Each one is unique and she likes to use British-made materials wherever possible. 

She also produce prints, cards, kits and hand-dyed materials for textile crafts.

FLORA - TEXTILE ART EXHIBITION IN MARBURY PARK (UK EXHIBITION):
23-MAR-2019 TO 24-MAR-2019

About the Event: Textiles in the Park - a group of contemporary Textile Artists, are holding their second exhibition entitled Flora.  

Flora will showcase the textile art that has been influenced and inspired by flowers, fruit and trees, subject matter that is all around them when the group meet weekly at Marbury Park. The exhibition, which is free to enter, will have on display over forty pieces of 2D and 3D textile art and will include eco-printing, mixed media, free machine embroidery, needle felting, hand embroidery, wet felting, wirework, weaving and beading.  
Pay & Display parking in the country park, two minute walk to the venue.
