Sparkly Bunting

I’ve had fun making the Christmas bunting. I enjoy workshops as they inspire me to start something new and different. I used a linen background fabric, felt motifs and some binding ( from Hobbycraft) finished off with small sequins for a bit of bling. It is for Christmas!

Today’s Meeting

We had a super afternoon at Gail’s Christmas bunting workshop. Gail had prepared some bunting to inspire us and brought lots of goodies for everyone to dip into to. It’s always interesting to see how many different ideas we all have. It will be lovely to see the end results.

It’s so good to meet up with friends and have a chatty workshop.

Today’s workshop

We had a really super afternoon with Mandy Hague. Mandy had brought lots of examples of her work to show us. She also brought lots of interesting bits and pieces of textiles to inspire us.

We all started with a square piece of fabric and the idea is to build up a design from scraps of fabric, tape, ribbon etc. Hopefully by the next meeting members will bring their finished square for us to admire.

Many thanks to Mandy for sharing her knowledge with us . I’m sure we will be asking her to come again in the future.

Also, thank you to Sally who really delivered with lots of homemade delicious cakes and biscuits.

It was also lovely to see old friends but some new faces too.
