Breakaway craft group

Today a few of us visited the Breakaway exhibition at Nantwich Museum. There's certainly plenty to look at. The theme is the local area and work inspired by the museums collections.

There were bold wall hangings and delicate smaller work. Some of the textiles were made into journals. They were particularly interesting.

Some work was based on maps and some on old books. There was some striking work based on clocks.

Generally, an interesting exhibition and certainly worth a visit.

There is also a small exhibition of paintings by members of Ann Roach's painting class in the corridor.

Work by members of the Breakaway group.

A really nice afternoon, the exhibition is very interesting and varied. The coffee afterwards was good too. Nice to join friends with shared interests.
